Profile of Dr. Matthias Krups

Matthias Krups founded BCI Media Group in 1998 and has overseen its expansion across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and most recently, the United States.

In his leadership role, Matthias provides the overall strategic direction of the company whilst allowing his Co-CEOs the freedom to innovate, develop and guide the organisation into an increasingly technological and global future.

Matthias holds an honors degree in business administration and a PhD in economics from the University of Muenster, Germany. Having spent three years in hotel development in the US Matthias embarked on a corporate career with the global media house Bertelsmann in Germany. As member of the board of Bertelsmann’s Professional Information Division Matthias grew the group’s construction information business to an unchallenged leadership position in Europe. In 1998 Matthias followed his dream to build his own business from his new home base in Sydney, Australia.

Profile of Damian Eastman

Damian Eastman was appointed as Co-CEO for BCI Media Group in 2018.

In 2020, Damian also took on the role of CEO BuildCentral, our Chicago based US affiliate.

Damian joined BCI in 2004, originally as a Customer Liaison Consultant but was assigned a product development position soon after and eventually was asked to head up the Australian Research Department. In 2012 he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for BCI Australia and New Zealand.

Damian has responsibility for all BCI’s business operations with a focus on our US business Unit. In this function he works with the management teams to improve efficiencies, maintaining strong growth and analysing opportunities of strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.

Damian has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Otago and before joining BCI, held various roles with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and with several Australian based international financial institutions.

Profile of Robert Krups

Robert Krups was appointed as Co-CEO for BCI Media Group in 2018, with his current focus on BCI’s Asia Pacific operations.

Robert joined BCI in 2010 as a Project Manager for South America and was appointed as General Manager for the Cross Media Division of BCI Asia. In 2012 he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer – BCI Asia.

Robert has responsibility for all business operations across Asia. In this function he works closely with the management team of BCI Asia on improving efficiencies, maintaining strong growth, expanding into new markets and analysing opportunities of strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisition.

Robert attended Goettingen University in Germany where he was awarded a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics before graduating with a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Murdoch University, Perth. He then spent three years working with the German office of the World Wide Fund for Nature after which he moved to BCI Media Group to start working in emerging markets.

Profile of Peter Rolshoven

In his position as the Chief Financial Officer of BCI Media Group, Peter Rolshoven is responsible for the accounting and reporting functions as well as the financial control and corporate governance of the Company. With data analysis and financial risk planning he supports the operations, continuously trying to improve efficiencies.

Although Peter formally commenced with BCI Australia in November 2008 as Commercial Manager, he did work for BCI as an intern in 2006 while finishing his bachelor degree in International Business and Management Studies (IBMS). He also completed an apprenticeship as a ‘Bankkaufmann’ (banker) at Deutsche Bank.

In 2008 Peter graduated from Maastricht University in the Netherlands with a Master of Science in International Business Finance.

Profile of Michelle Aizenberg

Michelle Aizenberg was appointed the role of Chief Research Officer and onto the Executive Board in 2014. With a focus on improving project research practices and quality, Michelle oversees the development of BCI’s research resources and the overall management of the operations across Asia, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Having started with BCI Australia in 2006 as a researcher, Michelle has a deep understanding of the role and its importance to the company.

At the time she joined BCI, Michelle was continuing her studies and has been awarded a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours), Master of Arts and Bachelor of Law from the University of NSW. She has also completed her practical legal training with Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2011.

Profile of Ashleigh Porter

Since starting at BCI Media Group in 2008, Ashleigh has gained a wealth of experience in both the architectural and construction industries, having worked in roles as diverse as Information Researcher, Sales Manager and Learning & Development Manager.

Ashleigh joined Architectural Information Services (AIS) in 2014 following the acquisition of AIS by BCI Media Group. Working as a liaison between AIS and BCI Media Group, Ashleigh was instrumental in the integration of the two businesses and in July 2016 was appointed General Manager of AIS, taking responsibility of all business operations across Australia and launching the business into the New Zealand market. In 2019, Ashleigh spearheaded the launch of Archify in the ANZ market and has been a key contributor to the platform’s ongoing development and expansion across the Asia-Pacific.

Ashleigh joined the Executive Board of BCI in 2019 when she was promoted to Co-COO of BCI Media Group alongside Paul Reid. Ashleigh holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication from the University of Wollongong.

Profile of Paul Reid

Since joining BCI Media Group in 2011 as a Business Development Manager, Paul has consulted with hundreds of businesses to improve their prospecting, sales and sales management processes.

Paul made the transition into sales management in July 2013, tasked with guiding and developing the Victorian sales team. In 2015 Paul’s scope expanded to include the NSW sales team and, as of July 2017, he became directly responsible for all new and renewal subscription sales across Australia & New Zealand as National Sales Manager ANZ.

Paul was promoted to Co-COO, BCI ANZ in July 2019, tasked with running all BCI ANZ operations along with Ashleigh Porter. In 2020, Paul spearheaded the design, development and launch of the Analytix platform. Prior to joining BCI, Paul co-founded a training & events company with his primary focus being on sales performance. Paul holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from Victoria University.

Profile of Nikhil Roy

Nikhil Roy joined BCI in 2001 in the formative years of the business as a Developer in the Singapore office. He was appointed IT Manager in 2002 where he was responsible for the management of all BCI’s internal IT systems and the development of BCI’s proprietary software programs. Nikhil was instrumental in the launch of BCI’s proprietary software systems in Australia and also took sole responsibility of managing the IT needs for BCI Australia. Relocating to Sydney in 2005, Nikhil established the local Australian IT team and coordinated the development of new products, improvements and features. He has since moved into a group wide management position, overseeing all development, support and infrastructure as the head of the regional IT Department.

Nikhil has a Bachelor of Engineering degree, specialising in Computing from the University of Mumbai along with over 20 years of experience in web development. Prior to joining BCI, he held various roles working on high-profile websites in India for the Times Group and in Singapore for the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Profile of Rima Capodici

Rima joined the BCI team as Chief Technology Officer in June 2021. She has over 23 years’ experience in Australia, the US, the UK and in Europe, developing and implementing technological digital strategies. Rima’s experience spans many industries, including banking, financial services, local government, insurance, financial crime, utilities, and trading.

Through her leadership of strategy definitions and delivery of small ($20 million) to large ($1 billion) portfolios, some of Rima’s key accomplishments in her previous roles include: increasing customer satisfaction by 33%, reducing operational costs by 30%, increasing workplace efficiency by 29%, and most notably, helping to increase revenue by over 700%. With experience in building cross-functional teams from the ground up, Rima has pioneered the use of cutting-edge technologies such as the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, all with successful outcomes.

Profile of Robert Krups

Robert Krups was appointed as Co-CEO for BCI Media Group in 2018, with his current focus on BCI’s Asia Pacific operations.

Profile of Nish PKN

Nish was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for BCI Asia in 2018. In his role, he is responsible for the business and operations across Asia. Prior to this, Nish became General Manager for BCI Asia’s emerging markets in 2015, and he held the responsibility of all business operations. Nish began his career with BCI Asia in 2008.

Nish focuses on BCI Asia’s core business growth and works closely with General Managers to build high performing teams and improve customer retention. He is responsible for improving the company’s performance, leading change and strengthening financial returns.

Nish received a BA in Marketing from Coventry University, UK, and he was awarded MBA, majoring in Finance from the University of Derby, UK.

Profile of Sharmaine SD

Sharmaine was appointed as Regional Sales Director in 2010. In this role she is responsible for managing the sales efforts, initiatives and sales policies across all the countries and regions within BCI Asia.

Another of the company’s long term employees, Sharmaine joined BCI Asia in 2000 as a Business Development Executive.  Previously she worked with a well established local interior design firm in a business development capacity.

Sharmaine holds a diploma from the prestigious international association, the Chartered Institute of Marketing – based in the UK, this now boasts a membership of over 40,000 professional marketers worldwide.

Profile of Sally Kheng

Sally Kheng was appointed to the position of  Regional Director Cross Media Division in 2017.  In her current role, she is responsible for managing sales efforts, new initiatives, account management and successful events execution in Asia.

Sally begin her career with BCI Asia in 2002 and prior step up to her current roles, she was the Regional Research Director since 2010. She lead the research teams across BCI Asia to achieve and then exceed desired quantitative and qualitative performances. Prior to BCI Asia, Sally had worked with local developers specializing in residential project marketing and Chesterton International, sealing several high profile investment sales.

Sally attended the University of NSW where she gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Economics & Marketing). She has also been awarded a diploma in Building Management at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.

Profile of Nana Sulina

Nana Sulina was appointed as Group Subscription Manager for BCI Media Group in July 2020.  She is responsible for subscription management and development across the group. Prior to this Nana was Regional Administration Manager and Singapore Office Manager. From 2011, she held responsibility for regional administration functions and implementation of day-to-day activities and policies aimed at improving operational efficiencies in the Singapore office.

Following her graduation from the William Blue Hotel Management School in North Sydney with a diploma in American Hospitality Management, Nana held a number of positions as a Director’s Personal Assistant, and had worked for several International Chain Hotel. Nana joined BCI in 2004 as an Administration Assistant.

Profile of Candice Lim

Editor in Chief & Business Manager – BCI Asia, Candice Lim leads the regional publishing and editorial department of BCI Asia. As Editor in Chief, Candice is responsible for driving the strategic direction of BCI Asia’s print and digital publications.

Since 2007, she has been managing and producing the content of the award-winning FuturArc magazine, a quarterly trade journal advocating architecture that demonstrates social responsibility and sustainability. Candice also manages Architecture@ yearbook series that highlights the next generation of buildings in Asia-Pacific. In 2014, Construction Plus, BCI Asia’s newest title, was launched under her leadership and which she has been managing its day-to-day operations—guiding all print and digital content and managing circulation efforts in the region.

Before joining BCI Asia, Candice has worked as senior editor at Editions Didier Millet; Singapore Press Holdings, and in communications and media relations at Singapore’s largest not-for-profit organisation the National Kidney Foundation. Candice holds an Honours degree from National University of Singapore.

Profile of Sarah Ortiz

Sarah Ortiz was appointed to the position of Research Manager – Asia in January 2019. This role entails management of research operations across Asia – working with national research managers and general managers to maximize coverage of construction activity in the different countries and maintaining and improving quality standards with a focus on satisfying clients’  needs.

She started out as a researcher and then a team leader for BCI ANZ and was later on promoted to National Research Manager – Philippines.

Profile of Tan Kwee Choo

Kwee Choo was appointed to the position of Asia Quality Manager in 2019. In her current role, she is responsible for the project research quality across Asia that leads to exceed desired quality of quantitative and qualitative performances.

During her succeeding years with BCI, she holds a position of Research Consultant and subsequently was promoted to National Research Manager.  Prior to joining BCI Asia in 1999, Kwee Choo had worked with the local largest bank for number of years, after which she joined the corporate planning division of a multi-business corporation, providing financial planning to the company.

She holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts, majored in Economics from Malaya University (Second Class Upper) and a Diploma in London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) Accounting and Business Statistics.

Profile of Elaine Wai

Elaine Wai was appointed General Manager for Hong Kong in 2006, responsible for managing all business operations within the country. In her role, Elaine is in charge of achieving budgeted levels of revenue and profitability and building a workplace culture consistent with our corporate values of Boldness, Commitment and Integrity.

She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts degree together with the Dean’s List and First Prize award for her final year project.  Elaine takes pride in the fact that BCI is only her second employer!  Between graduation and commencing with BCI as a Client Liaison Consultant, she worked for six months as an Operations Trainee in the telecommunications industry.

Pietter was appointed as General Manager for Indonesia in May 2018. He is in charge of managing all business operations within the country to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability as well as building a workplace culture consistent with BCI Media Group values of Boldness, Commitment, and Integrity.

Pietter’s professional background includes the extensive experience in construction industry, sales, marketing, and operations management in various companies in Indonesia and the USA.

Pietter attended the University of Houston in Texas, USA, where he majored in both Finance and Marketing and was awarded the Bachelor of Business of Administration degree.

Profile of Kok Sook Leng

Leng was appointed as General Manager in Malaysia in May 2018. She is in charge of managing BCI Malaysia’s operation covering sales, account management, research and events to achieve budgeted revenue and building a conducive and positive workplace environment while cultivating the values of boldness, commitment and integrity.

Graduated from University Malaysia of Sabah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Technology, Leng had a short stint with a 4-star hotel in Federal Territory of Sabah, responsible for its sales and marketing materials before joining BCI Asia’s team as Business Development Consultant.  During the succeeding years of her tenure with BCI, she has held various positions such as Business Development Manager, Team Leader and National Account Manager.

Profile of Saowapa Naowaoaj

Saowapa Naowaoaj was appointed General Manager for Thailand in 2018 and is responsible for all business operations within the country. She manages business development, Account Management team, Sales Department, and Event Sales Department with a mandate to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability. She is also responsible for building a workplace culture consistent with the corporate values of BCI Media Group. Saowapa joined BCI Asia in 2013 as a Business Development Consultant. In 2017, she was promoted to National Sales Manager for Thailand, before becoming the Operations Manager.

Saowapa’ s professional background includes a successful track recorded in sales, marketing, and operations management with various multi-national companies and previously within the hospitality Industry.

Saowapa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in International Business, from Ramkhamhaeng University- Bangkok.

Profile of Vo Chi Anh

Anh was appointed as General Manager – BCI Vietnam in Feb 2017, taking fully responsibility for all business operations ensuring BCI success in Vietnam.

Anh comes to BCI Vietnam with more than 20 years of management and sales experiences. He has focused on business operation, distribution, strategic marketing, sales management and motivation teams to success.

Prior to joining BCI, Anh served as the Deputy CEO sales & marketing cum Hochiminh branch office director of Prevoir Life Insurance Vietnam, National Sales Manager of Groupama Vietnam – General Insurance, Sales Manager Chevron (Caltex) Lubricants. He brings his hands-on expertise in B2B, B2C sales, strategy, marketing, customer centric organization and business development.

Profile of Stanny Pamintuan

Stanny Pamintuan was appointed  as Philippines General Manager in May 2018. Prior to this, he was the National Sales Manager since 2015, responsible for all sales and account management operations in the country. Stanny manages the business development, account management and customer service departments to achieve the budgeted revenue and profitability while promoting the corporate values of BCI Media Group.

Stanny’s professional background include a successful track record in sales, marketing, and operations management from various multi-national companies. He also has extensive experience in the business process outsourcing industry and investment research servicing clients across the Asia Pacific region, Europe, and North America.

Stanny has a bachelor’s degree in Management majoring in Finance from De La Salle University – Manila.
