GBCI launched Indonesian green building rating "GREENSHIP"
| Abstract: Green Building Council of Indonesia (GBCI) is currently launching the Green Building guidelines GREENSHIP rating tools version 1.0 for New Building expected by the publication of this guidance system can be an important milestone in the nation of Indonesia to provide introduction and market perception change will further the implementation Green Building to all levels of society so that a process of education and market transformation and behavior in a sustainable living.

Green Building guidelines GREENSHIP rating tools can be used to test the level of understanding about the concept of green buildings and to assess or evaluate green building located in Indonesia aims to improve the quality of the construction industry sector in which we are proud of this country, in addition to stimulating market demand for more buildings conserved and sustainably and to provide awards to all parties involved in order to improve the performance of the building.
The launching of guideline GREENSHIP green building rating tools Version 1.0 for New Buildings will participate inaugurated by the Minister of Public Works, Mr.Ir. Djoko Kirmato, Dipl. HE, opening by the Chairperson of the Founders of the GBCI, Mrs. Naning Adiwoso, speeches from the Board of Directors and Corporate GBCI Founder, Mr.Ir.Mardjuki Atmadiredja, explanation of the process of making an GREENSHIP rating tools by Mr. Ir. Rana Yusuf Nasir, Director GBCI Rating and Technology, and explanation of the certification process, the demonstration and assessment of filling the registration form as well as publication of a pilot project by the team rating GBCI.
Mrs. Naning Adiwoso pointed out that "GREENSHIP will immediately improve the performance and building standards into the sustainability thus reducing the environmental impact of a series of related activities that lead to environmental degradation and global warming, through a process of study, engineering and potential technology application for the reduction of energy consumption so can influence on the reduction building operating costs while maintaining occupant health and comfort.”
