Profile of Dr. Matthias Krups

BCI Media Group owes its existence to Dr. Matthias Krups who founded the company in 1998 and has overseen its expansion across SE Asia, Australia and most recently, New Zealand. In his leadership role, Matthias provides the overall strategic direction and is particularly involved in the business growth through merger and acquisition. However, he is also passionately heading the ‘spiritual’ direction of the organisation and enjoys actively nurturing and promoting our corporate culture and values.

Matthias studied at the University of Muenster in Germany and gained a diploma in business administration and a PhD in economics with a major in marketing and statistics. He spent three years in the hotel industry in the USA in various operational and marketing and development roles. He then spent 10 years in Europe working in the construction information industry before establishing the BCI business.

Profile of Damian Eastman

Damian Eastman joined BCI in 2004 originally as a Customer Liaison Consultant but was assigned a product development role soon after and eventually was asked to head up the Australian Research Department. In 2012, Damian was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for BCI Australia and New Zealand, taking responsibility for all BCI’s business operations in those countries. In this function he works closely with the management team of BCI Australia and New Zealand on improving efficiencies, maintaining strong growth and analysing opportunities of strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisition.

Damian has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Otago and before joining BCI, held various roles with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and with several Australian based international financial institutions.

Profile of Robert Krups

Robert Krups was appointed as Chief Operating Officer – BCI Asia in July 2012, taking responsibility for all business operations across Asia. In this function he works closely with the management team of BCI Asia on improving efficiencies, maintaining strong growth and expanding into new markets. Robert joined BCI in 2010 as a Project Manager for South America and was appointed as General Manager for the Cross Media Division of BCI Asia.

Robert attended Goettingen University in Germany where he was awarded a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics before graduating with a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Murdoch University, Perth. He then spent three years working with the German office of the World Wide Fund for Nature after which he moved to BCI Media Group to start working in emerging markets.

Profile of Anna Krups

Appointed as Chief People Officer in 2012, Anna Krups oversees the people and training divisions within the BCI Media Group. This comprises the Human Resources, Organisational Development and Learning & Development operations, in addition to BCI Academy, the customer training division of BCI. Together with her team of HR professionals, Anna is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s Human Resource Management capabilities through the provision of operational and strategic services across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Anna has a Master’s Degree in Adult Education (major) and in Psychology (minor) from Heinrich-Heine University, Duesseldorf, Germany. Before joining BCI in 2010, Anna worked at multinational organisations across Germany and Australia such as BMW Group, Nokia Siemens Networks and Alcatel-Lucent in various Learning and Development related positions.

Profile of Peter Rolshoven

In his position as the Chief Financial Officer of BCI Media Group, Peter Rolshoven is responsible for the accounting and reporting functions as well as the financial control and corporate governance of the Company. With data analysis and financial risk planning he supports the operations, continuously trying to improve efficiencies.

Although Peter formally commenced with BCI Australia in November 2008 as Commercial Manager, he did work for BCI as an intern in 2006 while finishing his bachelor degree in International Business and Management Studies (IBMS). He also completed an apprenticeship as a ‘Bankkaufmann’ (banker) at Deutsche Bank.

In 2008 Peter graduated from Maastricht University in the Netherlands with a Master of Science in International Business Finance.

Profile of Michelle Aizenberg

Michelle Aizenberg was appointed the role of Chief Research Officer and onto the Executive Board in 2014. With a focus on improving project research practices and quality, Michelle oversees the development of BCI’s research resources and the overall management of the operations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Having started with BCI Australia in 2006 as a researcher, Michelle has a deep understanding of the role and its importance to the company.

At the time she joined BCI, Michelle was continuing her studies and has been awarded a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours), Master of Arts and Bachelor of Law from the University of NSW. She has also completed her practical legal training with Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2011.

Profile of Nikhil Roy

Nikhil Roy joined BCI in 2001 in the formative years of the business as a Developer in the Singapore office. He was appointed IT Manager in 2002 where he was responsible for the management of all BCI’s internal IT systems and the development of BCI’s proprietary software programs. Nikhil was instrumental in the launch of BCI’s proprietary software systems in Australia and also took sole responsibility of managing the IT needs for BCI Australia. Relocating to Sydney in 2005, Nikhil established the local Australian IT team and coordinated the development of new products, improvements and features. He has since moved into a group wide management position, overseeing all development, support and infrastructure as the head of the regional IT Department.

Nikhil has a Bachelor of Engineering degree, specialising in Computing from the University of Mumbai along with over 20 years of experience in web development. Prior to joining BCI, he held various roles working on high-profile websites in India for the Times Group and in Singapore for the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Profile of Robert Krups

Robert Krups was appointed as Chief Operating Officer – BCI Asia in July 2012, taking responsibility for all business operations across Asia. Profile of Nish PKN

Nish was appointed General Manager for Emerging Markets in 2015 and has responsibility for all business operations within Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Nish manages the business development, project research and customer service teams to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability while promoting the corporate values of BCI Media Group. Nish joined BCI Asia in 2008 as a Business Development Consultant and was promoted to Country Manager for Malaysia in 2013, before becoming the General Manager for Emerging Markets.

Prior to BCI, Nish came from the Finance Industry where he worked as an associate financial consultant, managing over 200 client portfolios to achieve profitable growth through account management and product management strategies. He also designed and executed marketing and sales plans for the sale of investment products, unit trusts and financial portfolios.

Nish attended the University of Derby in the United Kingdom where was awarded a Master of Business Administration, majoring in Finance.

Sharmaine was appointed as Regional Sales Director in 2010. In this role she is responsible for managing the sales efforts, initiatives and sales policies across all the countries and regions within BCI Asia.

Another of the company’s long term employees, Sharmaine joined BCI Asia in 2000 as a Business Development Executive.  Previously she worked with a well established local interior design firm in a business development capacity.

Sharmaine holds a diploma from the prestigious international association, the Chartered Institute of Marketing – based in the UK, this now boasts a membership of over 40,000 professional marketers worldwide.

Profile of Sally Kheng

Sally Kheng was appointed to the position of Regional Research Director in 2010. The objective of this role is to lead the research teams across BCI Asia to achieve and then exceed desired quantitative and qualitative performances. Sally’s responsibilities also include the spearheading of new research offices and ensuring best quality practice across BCI Asia.

Prior to joining BCI Asia in 2002, Sally had worked with local developers specialising in residential project marketing and Chesterton International, sealing several high profile investment sales.

Sally attended the University of NSW where she gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Economics & Marketing). She has also been awarded a diploma in Building Management at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.

Profile of Nana Sulina

Nana Sulina was appointed to the role of Regional Administration Manager in July 2011. She is responsible for the Regional Administration staff and the Subscription Department across BCI Asia, taking care of training and the introduction of any procedural changes.

Also as Manager of the Singapore Office, Nana acts as the Human Relations officer and is in charge of maintaining a safe and secure working environment. She is in charge of implementing any day to day activities and policies that will improve the operational efficiency of the office.

Following her graduation from the William Blue Hotel Management School in North Sydney with a diploma in American Hospitality Management, Nana held a number of positions as a Director’s Personal Assistant, and had worked for several International Chain Hotel. Nana joined BCI in 2004 as an Administration Assistant.

Profile of Candice Lim

As Business Manager & Managing Editor of Publishing, Candice Lim heads the regional publishing unit. In this role, to which she was appointed in 2013, Candice oversees the business and editorial operations of core publications and other related products. As Managing Editor since 2007, she creates and manages content of the bimonthly FuturArc and Architecture@ yearbook series, as well as other corporate publishing products. These are all available in printed form, online and other social media platforms.

Before joining BCI Asia in 2007, Candice started her career in communications and media relations with the largest not-for-profit organisation in Singapore. Later she moved to Singapore Press Holdings, where she took on additional responsibilities including writing lifestyle articles and copywriting for advertising/marketing campaigns.

Profile of Arlene Apple Patricio

Having held a number of senior positions within BCI since 2001, in July 2013 Arlene Patricio was assigned the roles of Business Manager for Events across South East Asia and the Philippines Manager for the Cross Media Division – in which position she is responsible for the achievement of budgeted sales for the Division.

In establishing the Events business across South East Asia, Arlene’s focus is on the creation of company standards in planning and management of events. Acting as the regional key person for all event inquiries, Arlene supports local operations in pricing and promotion and development of event related products and services.

Prior to joining BCI, Arlene managed the sales and operations of a local bottling company for 4 years. Her previous experience also includes working as Assistant General Manager for a marketing services company.

Arlene graduated from the Philippines Women’s University with a degree of AB-Communication Arts in 1992. In November 2013, Arlene also completed a diploma course program on Professional Event Management at De la Salle-College of St Benilde as Merit awardee.

Profile of Susanty

The responsibility for ensuring all aspects of BCI Asia’s Information Technology infrastructure are running smoothly lies with Susanty, IT Manager for BCI Asia since July 2013.  Maintenance of these critical elements includes the development and testing of new features as well as the support of the existing system and introduction of enhancements, “fixes” and other changes as required.

Before commencing her employment with BCI Asia in 2008 as a System Analyst, Susanty worked for a software developer as an Assistant Project Manager. This involved taking briefs from clients, preparing the documentation then managing the team to set up, test and commission the client’s site including user training.

Profile of Elaine Wai

Elaine Wai was appointed Country Manager for Hong Kong in 2006, responsible for managing all business operations within the country. In her role, Elaine is in charge of achieving budgeted levels of revenue and profitability and building a workplace culture consistent with our corporate values of Boldness, Commitment and Integrity.

She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts degree together with the Dean’s List and First Prize award for her final year project.  Elaine takes pride in the fact that BCI is only her second employer!  Between graduation and commencing with BCI as a Client Liaison Consultant, she worked for six months as an Operations Trainee in the telecommunications industry.

Profile of Agus Dinar

Agus Dinar was appointed Country Manager for Indonesia in 2004 and has responsibility for all business operations within the country. Agus manages the business development, project research and customer service teams to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability while promoting the corporate values of BCI Media Group.

Agus has been a long term employee of BCI, joining the business in 1997 and supporting the operation in numerous roles, including 6 years as Sales Manager Indonesia. Prior to BCI, Agus spent several years in sales organisations, as an Account Executive for a company marketing education products and as a Sales Manager in the advertising industry.

While working in those organisations, Agus acquired extensive skills in sales and presentation and the experience to manage and motivate a sales force.  He has formalised those qualifications and was awarded a Certificate of Marketing Management from Prasetiya Mulya, Jakarta in 2013.

As International Sales Director, Cross Media Division, Louis Lee oversees the Publishing and Event sales for this division of BCI Asia. For Publishing, Louis is in charge of advertising sales for the bimonthly FuturArc and Architecture@ yearbook series. For the Events business, Louis is also in charge of sponsorship sales for the annual BCI Asia Top 10 awards ceremonies held since 2005.

Before joining BCI Asia in 1999, Louis had accrued over 20 years of publishing and sales experience in the B2B sector. This included 10 years as the Group Advertisement Manager for a company publishing several regional trade publications in the Interior, Water, Building and Medical industries.

Sineenart Harnwanichkul has been appointed as General Manager, BCI Thailand from December 2016, taking responsibility for all business operations in Thailand.

Highly educated with a master’s degree in marketing and finance coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics engineering.

Sineenart brings more than 25 years’ experience in sales management, business development, marketing and operations management. Prior to joining BCI, Sineenart served as the Country Manager – Stauff (Thailand), Marketing Manager Asia Pacific – Parker Hannifin (Thailand), Export Sales Manager – Fasco Motors (Thailand), Product Manager – ABB limited. She has strong background in driving excellent sales performance and B2B business operations in Thailand.

Anh was appointed as General Manager – BCI Vietnam in Feb 2017, taking fully responsibility for all business operations ensuring BCI success in Vietnam.

Anh comes to BCI Vietnam with more than 20 years of management and sales experiences. He has focused on business operation, distribution, strategic marketing, sales management and motivation teams to success.

Prior to joining BCI, Anh served as the Deputy CEO sales & marketing cum Hochiminh branch office director of Prevoir Life Insurance Vietnam, National Sales Manager of Groupama Vietnam – General Insurance, Sales Manager Chevron (Caltex) Lubricants. He brings his hands-on expertise in B2B, B2C sales, strategy, marketing, customer centric organization and business development.

Stanny Pamintuan was appointed National Sales Manager for the Philippines in June 2015 and is responsible for all sales and account management operations in the country. Stanny manages the business development, account management and customer service departments to achieve the budgeted revenue and profitability while promoting the corporate values of BCI Media Group.

Stanny’s professional background include a successful track record in sales, marketing, and operations management from various multi-national companies. He also has extensive experience in the business process outsourcing industry and investment research servicing clients across the Asia Pacific region, Europe, and North America.
